mTools is a collection of plugins for Autodesk Softimage. The collection is a complement to Softimage's toolset. Some tools are designed to enhance workflows in order to help users be more efficient, productive and organized and others are designed to address more specific and more complex technical problems. The tools are aimed to become "what's missing" in Softimage.

mTools is made available to you for free. You can use mTools as many times as desired on any number of workstations.  They are provided "as is" without any warranty or support. For more details, see our Term of Usage section. Customization, support and added features are available by special agreement with Motience.  Please use the Contact page to detail your needs.

The reference manual of mTools can be accessed through our website by visiting our Documentation section. We invite your feedback on all tools and encourage you to leave comments, suggestions and ideas at the bottom of the article.

mTools and updates can be downloaded through our Download Section. After the first installation, the mTools menu from within Softimage also provides a direct link to updates. mTools is provided as a Softimage workgroup, containing "categories" of addons such as mIo, mPrimitive, mShape, etc. This structure is preferred to a distribution of separate plug-ins. As mTools is an ongoing project, releases, downloads and update can quickly and easily be made. Users can nevertheless reorganise or handpick addons anyway they like afterwards. There are no dependencies on outside addons, but in many cases the plug-in requires a Motience library.

mTools is an ongoing project and is designed to grow over months and years. Hosting of ICE Compounds are also planned. The philosophy behind mTools is also to offer a solid and efficient distribution system which aims to be simple to use and manage.
